Who we are?
We are a group of individuals that have come together in the name of fitness. We will look to crown the fittest Male and Female teams in the Amphitheater on the outcrops of the Drakensberg.
The competition consists of 2 categories, a male and female category and it will be sub divided in RX and RX+, with RX+ being the top 10 teams of each category, which is determined through the qualifier. The RX division will consist of the teams that qualify from 20-30 in the qualifier.
RX and RX+?
We opted to go for RX and RX+, taking away the classification of intermediate and beginner. The RX division teams can consist of athletes that are either beginner, intermediate or elite, because of the format in which the competition will be run in. On the RX+ side, all of the athletes must consist of elite athletes.
Team format
The weekend will consist of around 12 tests of fitness, ranging from swimming, running and all the fitness in between. The events will also include individual events and team of 2 events which contributes to your team’s overall score, thus in the RX division you could find a “beginner” athlete being able to complete the time trial run or the swim.
Team compilation
We have decided that 2 out of the 3 member should come from the same box and the 3rd member can be from anywhere else. We will not let any athlete compete as a member from the same box, if they do not have a valid contract at that facility.
Prizes
There will be cash prizes for the teams of each category and some awesome spot prizes.
Accommodation
There are a few AirBNB places on the premises as well as a 4 star Hotel, which all the atletes will get at a discounted rate.
Nitty Gritty?
The competition will run from 20-22 Nov 2020 and we will adhere to all covid regulations as far as possible. The entry fee for the qualifier will be R150 per team and R1850 per team for the main event.
